A Letter From Dr. Hatch

Dear Friends and Patients,

I’m writing to share that I will be transitioning out of my practice here in New Mexico as my family and I prepare for a move to California. This has been a deeply considered decision—one not made lightly.  However, the high altitude and limited specialty care have impacted my wife’s health, and after much reflection and recommendations from her medical team, we’ve decided that relocating to sea level and being closer to extended family is the best decision for her well-being and for our family as a whole. At the heart of it, life is about taking care of the people we love.

Caring for your wonderful children over the past eight years has been a true joy and privilege. Watching them grow and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles has been one of the greatest honors of my career.

In preparing for this transition, I’ve taken great care to find someone who shares my values and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. I’m pleased to introduce Dr. Spencer Tasker, who will be taking over as the new owner of Mountain View Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Tasker is well-known in the community as he has practiced her for over 20 years.  He brings a warm, caring presence to his work and some of you may know that we trained at the same pediatric residency.  I have full confidence in his ability to continue providing the level of care you’ve come to expect.

Dr. Alicia Nguyen will also continue to care for your children as she has been doing since joining the practice in October 2024. I know that together Dr. Tasker and Dr. Nguyen will continue to provide the personalized care that many of you have enjoyed throughout the years.

I’ll continue to see patients over the summer as we complete the transition, and I hope to see many of your children during that time. Please know how grateful I am for your trust over the years. It has truly been an honor to be part of your children’s health journey. I hope you will extend that same trust to Dr. Tasker as he steps into this role.

With sincere gratitude,

Dr. Brian Hatch
