Dr. Alicia Nguyen was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM where she received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico. From deserts to cornfield, she moved to Nebraska to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2017, she returned to the Southwest where she discovered her passion for pediatric dentistry. After spending five years working exclusively in pediatric dental offices and mobile dental units that traveled to public schools across the state of NM, she began her pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Training at a Level-1 children’s hospital afforded her the experience of treating children with unique and often complicated medical conditions or special healthcare needs. Her rigorous training in advanced pediatric dentistry included: minimally invasive restorative dentistry, esthetic and surgical dentistry, interceptive orthodontics, behavior management, dental trauma and extensive hospital dentistry in the operating room. More importantly, being associated with a Level-1 trauma hospital gave her the opportunity to be apart of specialized medical teams like: Cleft-lip and palate Clinic, Hematology Clinic, and ENT/Speech/Audiology Clinic – to comprehensively treat seriously young and sick children.

Pediatric dentistry embodies the values she cherishes: compassionate care, preventative intervention, and an active interest in community health. Dr. Alicia believes that pediatric dentists are given a unique opportunity to help guide children into adulthood with healthy, beautiful teeth and knowledge of the importance of oral care. Her goal is to be able to provide quality care to any child who needs it in the kindest, most comfortable way possible. Which is why Dr. Alicia is excited to join Dr. Brian and the fantastic team at Mountain View Pediatric Dentistry in providing the best comprehensive oral care for your family. She enjoys spending her free-time with her husband Jesse and dog Arlo hiking, kayaking, fly-fishing, and camping. Being outdoors is one of her greatest loves. She has hiked in 20 National Forests and many National Parks.
